STEWART, Goldie Elizabeth

83, of Crousetown died March 15, 2019 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born July 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Elvira (Conrad) Richard, Petite Riviere. In her earlier years, Goldie worked at the Arenburg House, Petite Riviere, then became a homemaker who loved to bake and work in her flower and vegetable garden. She loved knitting and was well known for her ribbed and checkerboard slippers. She loved going on the motorcyle with Owen in her earlier years. For years, she was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Crousetown and sang in the church choir. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Owen Stewart, Crousetown. She will be dearly missed by Owen, two daughters, Diane (Tom) and Darlene (Blaine), and granddaughter Alanna. She is also survived by sisters Vivian Bush, Petite Riviere; Phyllis Stewart, Bridgewater; Jean Messervay, Middle Sackville. She was predeceased by sisters Cora, Lillian, Dorothy, Joyce, Belle; brothers Malcolm, Carl, Ralph, Gerald, Hector, Clarence, and Harold. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of R. A. Corkum's Funeral Home.
