FULCHER, Norman “Wayne”

2024-01-29

It is with great sadness the family of Norman Wayne Fulcher announces his sudden passing at the age of 83, on Monday January 29, 2024. Wayne passed away peacefully in the Azores, a place he grew to love and enjoy frequently over recent years.

Born on December 15, 1940, in Brantford, ON, Wayne was raised in the community of St. George. By the mid 1960s, he relocated to Toronto where he spent the majority of his adult life. In the early 1970s, he and his business partners started DAC Group, an advertising agency. Wayne worked tirelessly and passionately for more than 40 years at the helm of DAC Group. Upon retirement, Wayne relocated permanently to Lower LaHave, Lunenburg County, NS. He loved his local community and established the Fulcher Foundation, an organization working to improve life in Nova Scotia. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and the community in which he lived.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents Bart and Hilda, and his wife Mary Ann.

He is survived by his son Allan and daughter-in-law Anne; grandchildren Zak, Charlotte and Lily; close cousin Marilyn and husband Roy Edge and family; and many more members of his extended family.

No services will be held. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be a party with good food, wine, and music later this year.

For those who wish, donations can be made in Wayne’s memory to Lunenburg County Community Fund www.lunenburgcountycommunityfund.ca, a charity that was important to Wayne.
