Age 78, Cookville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, where he had been residing. Born in Bridgewater on November 18, 1939, he was the son of the late James and Marion (Beeler) Rhodenizer. Aubrey loved to moose hunt and fly fish for salmon. Surviving are his wife, Faye (Mailman), Cookville; sons, Grant (Renee), Truro; Scott (Michaela), Palm Beach, FL; Brent (Wanda), Branch LaHave; Chris (Christine), New Ross; Brad (Ruth), Edmonton; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Justin, Colby, Courtney, Tristan and Lucca; sisters, Linda Corkum, Fancy Lake; Fay Slauenwhite, Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Gloria, a sister in infancy, and niece Colette. Arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, where visitation was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 6 prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Father Jim O’Connor officiating. Interment followed in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Bridgewater. Memorial donations were made to Rosedale Home for Special Care, Canadian Cancer Society, Health Services Foundation, IWK, Canadian Red Cross, SHAID, St James Lutheran Church, St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Hillside Cemetery Branch LaHave, All Saints Lutheran Church, and Hillside Pines Home for Special Care. A special thank you to Adam and staff of Sweeny’s Funeral Home for their professional help and guidance during this most difficult time. Also special thanks to the staff of Rosedale Home for Special Care for the exceptional care they provided Aubrey during his short stay at the home and in particular the care and compassion shown by all to the family during his final days.
