HAMM, Naida Arline

2021-03-28

It's with great sadness the family announce the passing of our mother, Naida Arline Hamm of Bridgewater, formerly of Western Shore, who passed away on March 28, 2021 in South Shore Regional Hospital with her children by her side.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Donald) Bell, Carol (Steven) Pearse and Bradley (Kathleen) Hamm; sisters, Stella Myra, Joy Adams; brothers, Cecil, Tommy, Barry, Charlie and Morris Swinamer; seven grandchildren, Sonja, Troy, Shauna, Wade, Kimberley, Christopher and Vanessa; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kailee, Shelby, Sierra, Dakota, Sydney, Lucas, Britten, Clara, Emmett, Stella, Griffin, Flynn and Milo.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, George Hamm; parents, Frank and Arline Swinamer and brother, Franklyn Swinamer.

Mom was a wonderful and caring mother who was always there for her children. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a huge heart; always helping others. Mom was a devoted member of the former St. Mark's Anglican Church in Martin's Point. Mom had many talents including sewing, creating beautiful paintings, designing beaded jewelry but her biggest passion was music which she also instilled in her children's lives. She shared her love of music for many years volunteering at Shoreham Village and at Ridgewood Retirement Center where she received the Maritimer of the Month for raising money for Christmas Daddies where she had painted and sold many scallop shells. What a proud moment that was for her and the family.

We would like to thank the caregivers at Ridgewood Retirement Facilty; Dr. Paul Mc-Auley, Palliative Care, EHS, SSRH ER Department and the nurses and doctors on the 4th floor, and the Western Shore Fire Department, that was always there over the years to lend a helping hand.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. On-line condolences can be made at davisfuneralhome.ca
