It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Lucille “Lucy” Boudreau, 83, of Lunenburg, announces her passing on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Petit De Grat, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillie Boudreau. She was a member of St. Norbert’s Roman Catholic Church, Lunenburg. Lucy spent her working career at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg, retiring after 25 years. She continued to volunteer her time there after retirement, helping out at many Bingo games. Lucy loved children, especially helping to care for many of her nieces and nephews in their younger years. A social lady, she was always out and about town, walking, meeting, and talking to anyone she would meet. Lucy is survived by her sisters, Edith Richards, Petit De Gras, Clementine Picco, Germaine Skinner both of Lunenburg; brothers, Raymond and Renie of Lunenburg, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine; brothers, Vincent, Francis and an infant brother, Alfred. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. 3, Lunenburg, with visitation Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from St. Norbert’s Roman Catholic Church, Lunenburg, Father James MacDonald, O.M.I., officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Harbour View Haven, Alzheimer’s Society or the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
