ISNOR, Vance Marshall

Age 98, of Martin's River, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born in Halifax on June 19, 1925, he was the eldest son of the late Ward and Annie (Zwicker) Isnor.

Vance was a Veteran of the Second World War. He was a Federal Civil Servant at Department of National Defence for most of his married life. Vance always involved himself in his Church community. In his retirement he was involved with the Lion's Club.

Aside from his parents, Vance was predeceased by brothers, Laurie and Gerald and granddaughter, Kayla.

Vance is survived by the love of his life, travel partner and wife of 67 years, Mary (Wardell); brother, Ward (Sharron); son, Allen (Mary) and grandchildren, Holly, Ainslie-Gem, Ashton (Tyler) and Ethan.

Vance taught us that it is always OK to accept that 2nd piece of pie.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at St. James’ Anglican Church, 65 Edgewater St., Mahone Bay. Memorial donations may be made to Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Health Centre Foundation. Interment will be held at a later date.
