MILLER (Richardson), Florence Elaine

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Florence Elaine (Richardson) Miller of Bridgewater, formerly of Allendale, Shelburne Co., at South Shore Regional Hospital, age 91, on August 18, 2018. She was born at Pleasant Point, Shelburne Co. on October 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Gordon and Nellie (Decker) Richardson. In her early life, she worked at CN Railway News Restaurant, where she met her future husband, Lloyd, who was employed as station agent at the Lockeport CN station. She was a member of Little Harbour United Church, Little Harbour, Shelburne Co., and attended Bridgewater United Church. She was a member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd, of 69 years, daughters Gail Ringer (John Alliker) and Barbara Cashin; grandson David Cashin; granddaughter Laura (Toven) Simonsen; great-grandsons Ryan, Jonathan, and Michael Cashin; great-granddaughter Mikka Simonsen. She is also survived by sister Kathleen Tudor and brother Karl Richardson, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by son Norman; brothers Albert, Cecil, Arthur; and sisters Brenda, Roberta, Evelyn, and Elizabeth. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held at Little Harbour United Church at 2 p.m., August 25, Rev. Kevin Cox officiating. Burial took place at the Little Harbour United Church cemetery following the service.
