It is with grieving hearts that the family of Christopher Llewelyn Feener, 49, of Bridgewater, announce his passing on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Ryan Hall, Bridgewater.

Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of Llewelyn and Debbie (Wagner) Feener of Pine Grove.

A graduate of Bridgewater High School, Christopher went on to work for a short time for the Town of Mahone Bay and then the LaHave Fish Plant. Over the years he loved to play hockey and was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also had a deep passion for his cars and took pride in keeping them meticulous. He was part of the swim team with the Special Olympics. In his younger years, Christopher enjoyed going four-wheeling with his younger brother, Shannon.

Christopher is survived by his parents Llewelyn and Debbie Feener, Pine Grove; brother, Ryan Feener, Bridgewater; paternal grandmother, Mona Feener (Harry Nauss), Bridgewater; sister-in-law, Michelle (Downe) Feener and nephews, Colby and Rylen Feener of Pine Grove; uncles, Lockie Feener and family, Northwest, Robert (Pam) Wagner and family, Goose Bay, NL; aunts, Donna (Neil) and family, Northwest, Merle (Pat) O’Neill and family, Gould’s, NL, Kay Wagner and family, Milford, Marjorie (Dale) and family, Bridgewater.

Christopher was predeceased by his brother, Shannon Feener; maternal grandparents, Jennie and William Wagner; parental grandfather, Robert Feener; and three uncles, Lloyd (Charity) Wagner, Albert Wagner, and Clarence (Bernice) Wagner.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Ryan Hall for their love and care of Christopher over the years and for the walk of honour on the day of his passing. Also, a special thank you to Sheldon Ernst for helping Christopher's parents during their time of need.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Recreation Department at Ryan Hall, Bridgewater or the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse would be appreciated by the family. www.sweenyfuneralhome.ca
