GRACE, Eleanor Olive

2018-09-03

84, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018 at South Shore Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Maplewood on July 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marie (Spidle) Faulkenham. All of “Ellie’s” friends and family near and far, will remember her as a very special person. She was a truly humble lady with a great appreciation for the finer things in life. Not for herself, no never, but she loved to see others have the special things in life that they worked hard for and deserved. Her unscripted sense of humor could put a smile on even the most solemn of faces. You just never knew what she would say next! It must have been from her many years at Agnew Surpass that Eleanor could always pick out the “nice shoes” in any crowd from a country mile. Eleanor’s life passion was when she was in her natural element, either at a beach or in a garden. Even more important to her was each and every member of her family, who she watched over, praised, and adored. She could always turn your sour lemons into the sweetest lemonade. It would be impossible to grieve Eleanor’s passing without remembering an occasion when she brightened your day and made you smile. Eleanor is survived by her children, Rocky Grace, Bridgewater; Jeanette (Tom) Renton, Upper LaHave; John (Nadyne) Grace, Porters Lake; Joanne Powers, Bridgewater; Rodney (Tina) Grace, Newcombville; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Bill and Amanda Grace, Halifax; Neil (Steve Robidoux) Renton, Valleyfield, QC; Eric (Stephanie) Renton, Victoria, B.C.; Teresa (Brian) Brake, Fall River; Jon Grace, Dartmouth; Natasha Lashley, Toronto; Emily (Ryan) Moore, Spruce Grove, AB; Jenna and Matt Grace, Newcombville. Great grandchildren Jordan, Brandon, Megan, James, Harley and Thomas. Siblings Gilbert (Barbara) Falkenham, Maplewood; Mary (Bill) Alexander, Stanley Section; Wilma (Cecil) Dorey, Bridgewater.
