CROFT, A. Gerald

Age 88, of Bridgewater, passed away April 5, 2018 at Habour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Little Liscombe, Guysborough Co. The son of the late Henry and Lucy Croft. He was a welder by trade, starting at the Lunenburg Foundry. He also worked at various businesses in Lunenburg and Bridgewater. Later, he cooked on fishing draggers. He was a quiet man who loved his family. When he retired, he built many lovely birdhouses. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Violet (Legag); son Michael (Maurita), daughters, Marcia and Wanda; grandson Mackenzie (Ann); granddaughters Whitney, Amy (Kirk), Amanda (Jacob) Tammy (Glen) Tracy (Ron) and great granddaughters; Kate Amber and Callie, alos step great-granddaughters; Stacy (Matt) Sarah (Garrett) and Kerry. He is survived by his two sisters, Audrey Langille and Lena Lowe. He was predeaced by his parents, five sisters and three brothers, also son-in-law, Bruce Slauenwhite and Vincent Weagle. Cremation has taken place under the direction of R.A. Corkum's Funeral Home. Service will be held at the Brigewater United Church, Saturday June 23 at 11 a.m.
