RUSSELL, Lester Ellison

Age 76 of Springfield, Annapolis County, died peacefully at home February 24, 2019. Born in Stanburn, Lunenburg County on July 19, 1942, he was the son of the late Oswald and Alma (Joudrey) Russell. Lester had been a woodsman, first working with power saws and later as a machine operator. He enjoyed listening to country music on Saturday evenings and was a good friend to many. Lester enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survived by his loving wife, the former Elaine Burgoyne; daughters Ann (Richard), Sandra (Gerald), Dianne; son Allan (Brenda); grandchildren Brittany, Christopher, Meagan and Brandon; great-granddaughter Abigail; step-grandson Kyle; step-great-granddaughter Leyah; brothers Graham and Bill. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Shirley and step-grandson Dustin. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held March 1 in Middleton Funeral Home, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Fire Department.
