PENNEY, Helen Christine

Age 70, Pinehurst, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the Q.E. II Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Helen R. (Kahler) Parlo. Surviving are her husband, Dale Wayne Penney; sisters, Jacqueline (Paul) Kirkland and Valerie Parlo, all of Somerville, Massachusetts; niece and goddaughter, Jennifer Kirkland (Michael Daigle); niece, Stacey Kirkland and great-niece, Meckenzie; special friends, Wade and Tracey Veinot, Pinehurst. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Fred and Alice Kahler; paternal grandparents, Angelo and Josephine (D’Antonio) Parlo. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20 in Sweeny's Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany beginning at 10 a.m., with a Service of Remembrance beginning at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Saint Vincent de Paul Society or charity of choice.
