SMITH, Michael "Mike" Seldon

Michael (Mike) Seldon Smith, of Westville, formerly of Parkdale, Lunenburg County, passed away August 18, 2018, at the Aberdeen Hospital, in New Glasgow at the age of 62. He was a son of the late Seldon Smith and Pearl (Smith) Ivancic. Mike leaves behind to mourn, his wife Lois and family, Westville; son Colton, AB; daughter Darlene, PEI; sisters Janet (Earlen) Eisener, West Northfield; Judie Smith-Robert (Wayne Everist), Pickering, ON; brothers Richard (Stacey) Smith, Rhodes Corner; John (Nancy) Smith, Pine Grove; half-sisters Sherry Smith (Jeff Lohnes), Pine Grove; Cheryl Smith, Liverpool; step-dad Dane Ivancic, Scarsdale and step-mom Carolyn Eichel, Bridgewater; also many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his foster parents Ronald (Pop) and Edna (Mom) Grimm, and half-sister Shelly. Mike's memorial service was held Wednesday, August 22, 2 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Chapel in Westville, NS. Mike was a hard worker who enjoyed the simple things in life and most of all, had a heart as big as gold!
