He was very proud to have attended Acadia University, where he earned bachelor's degrees in mathematics and education. He also later completed a master's degree at Saint Mary's University. Phillip served as a dedicated, beloved mathematics teacher at Bridgewater High School for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Ann (Slauenwhite); daughter, Shannon (Adam) Timmons; grandsons, Brayden and Curran Timmons; siblings, Kenneth, Brian, Pamela Lumsden, Derick (Susan), Erick (Cathy), and Carole (Clint Sanheim), as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Joudrey and Doris (Arthur) Joudrey. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 29 from 2-4 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Hotel and Convention Centre in Bridgewater. Phillip's family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the South Shore Regional Hospital for the excellent care he received throughout his illness.
