CAMPBELL (Conrad), Marion Rosena

Marion Rosena (Conrad) Campbell of Bridgewater, in her 96th year, passed away suddenly on June 7th, 2018 at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born to the late Letson and Hazel (Berringer) Conrad at Upper LaHave, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Marion enjoyed socializing with family and friends and will be remembered for her mischievous sense of humour and her position as Special Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Over the years, church, crafts, books, British Comedies, crossword puzzles and her beloved Andre Rieu filled her leisure hours. Marion is survived locally by her sister-in-law, Helga Conrad, Upper LaHave and nieces, Linda Thompson and husband, Gary, Bridgewater; Carol Anthony, Conquerall Bank and their families. In addition, she is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews in Canada, the US and Europe. She is also survived by her husband’s sons, Ian and Graham Campbell and their families. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Jock (John D.); sister, Margaret Smith brother, Walt Conrad; brother-in-law, Dave Smith, and sister and brother-in-law, Connie and John Reid. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rosedale Home for their care and attention were given to Marion during her residency and also to special friend Betty Crawford who kept an eye on things before Marion moved to Rosedale. There will be no visitation at Marion’s request. A graveside service will be held later in the summer at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Upper LaHave.
