Beulah passed away on February 17, 2018 at the age of 88. Born in Farmington, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Ada (Crouse) Hubley. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Rafuse (Ron Corkum), Bridgewater; Paulette Countway (Ernest), Chester Grant. Sons, Maxwell (Donna) Marriott’s Cove; Michael (Cathy) Parkdale. Grandsons, Mark Webber (Lisa) Claresholm, Alb; Travis (Kari) Countway, Chester Grant; granddaughters, Shannon Countway (Shane Hiltz), Chester Grant; Jennifer Rafuse (Arthur Wentzel), Newburne; Stephanie Veinotte (Tyler), East River; Great-grandchildren, Nikki, Ian, Wyatt, Riata, Kayleigh, Chandler, Andelyn, Autumn, David, Adalind and Avangaline. Sisters, Lucy (Bramer) Veinot, Nictaux; Marguerite (Ronald) Chliszczyk, Caledon, Ont; brother, Paul Hubley, Harrietsfield; sister-in-law, Joukje Hubley and brother-in-law, Leland Wentzell. Beulah was predeceased by her husband, Maxwell and brothers, Maurice and Lester; sister, Evangeline Wentzell. Before she met Max, Beulah taught school in various rural communities. She was an active member of the Women’s Institute of Parkdale-Maplewood and served as Provincial President in 1979-80. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Parkdale where she was a devoted choir member and active in all church as well as community groups. Beulah was presented with the Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee Metal in 2004 and also received Life membership to the Woman’s institute of Parkdale-Maplewood. Beulah embraced life living every day to the fullest. She enjoyed all forms of nature, swimming, fishing and playing her mandolin. Funeral service was held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 22 in Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale Maplewood. Family committal took place in Parkdale Maplewood Community Cemetery, Parkdale. Rev. Sam Jess officiated. Flowers were from family only. Donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or the Parkdale Maplewood Cemetery.
