GARLAND, Captain Howard

Age 65, of Lake Mush-A-Mush, Sweetland, Lunenburg Co., NS, passed away September 21, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the son of Wilfred and Emily Garland of Hermitage, NL. Howard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Councillor Claudette Garland, Sweetland, NS; sons, Tyler (Cait) Garland, Bridgewater, NS; Matthew Garland, Halifax, NS; brother, Captain Kevin (Anna) Garland, Grimm's Settlement, NS; sisters, Alyson (Tony) Moore, Cambridge, NS; Anne (Russell) Aalders, Eastern Passage, NS; Evelyn (Jack) Hollett, Lower Sackville, NS; Thelma (Garry) Rideout, Bridgewater, NS. A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, January 26,2019 at the Best Western Hotel, Cookville, NS.
