This week’s adoptables

SHAID Tree Animal Shelter

At SHAID Tree Animal Shelter, one very special kitty made his new year's resolution: to find his forever home soon!

Phoenix has been at our shelter since he was relinquished by his owner on March 28, 2023, paralyzed from pain due to intense constipation. He was one of the most extreme cases of medical neglect we've seen.

After months of tests, dietary changes, and medications, Phoenix was finally cleared for adoption! He has been diagnosed with chronic inflammatory bowel disease, constipation, and pancreatitis and will require daily medication and a strict diet.

Despite his medical needs, Phoenix is a happy, healthy, handsome, and playful cat who loves interacting with humans. He is available via application only, to help us ensure his future health needs are met. Phoenix is our longest-term resident here at our little shelter, and it is time for him to go home.

If daily medications seems daunting, please come talk to our knowledgeable staff and see how easy it really is to care for him, and he will spend the rest of his life repaying you with his love and snuggles.

We have several other lovely cats to choose from as well. Hemp is a loving and entertaining 1.5-year-old, grey and white female who would get along well with other cats in the home.

Rosita and Snuffleupagus are shy and timid solid black siblings who are about four months old; they will need time and patience to come out of their shells, as they were born outside and are just learning to trust humans – and they are making daily progress! Carrot is a confident and curious six-month-old short-haired orange and white tabby boy who would just love a sibling to play with.

Queen Bee is a lovely medium-haired grey and white momma who recently had her last litter (Buzz, Bumble, Hive, Comb, and Honeybee). Now that the babies have all been adopted into their forever homes and momma has been spayed, it's Queen Bee's turn to find her forever home. She is very sweet and affectionate, and would make a great companion for any cat lover.

To our valued community, please feel free to come down and meet these lovely animals; we are open to the public from Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thank you for your ongoing support, and let's find our boy Phoenix his forever home!
