SHAID Tree Animal Shelter

It's always busy here at SHAID Tree Animal Shelter. We are kicking off kitten season with a bang and have several Queens and litters safely in house.

We are thrilled to have finally caught up to last spring and fall's backlogged feline spay and neuter appointments! Since Jan. 1, we have brought in 154 cats and kittens, and 15 dogs.

We want to remind everyone how important your support is to our little shelter, as our medical expenses this year alone have already surpassed $40,000. These costs include routine spays, neuters, and other life-saving surgeries; blood panels; felv/fiv testing; and medications for sick animals to make them healthy and therefore adoptable.

We have a great group steering our fundraising ship, and are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen again to take part in Country 100.7 FM's Baby Barn Lotto at this year's Big Ex! Come see us at the Baby Barn July 25-30 and get your tickets for your chance to win a fantastic baby barn and a ton of other prizes. Another super exciting fundraiser is our 2024 Calendar: Felines and Firefighters - there will soon be sneak peaks of this featured on our Facebook page.

We are always in need of shelter supplies such as canned cat food, dry cat and kitten kibble, wood pellets, javex, blue Dawn dish soap, gently-used clean towels, stamps and envelopes. All monetary donations over $10 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

Donations can be made via e-transfer to info@shaidanimalshelter.com" target="_blank">info@shaidanimalshelter.com, over the phone at 902-543-4849, or in person at the shelter at 950 Mullock Road in Whynotts Settlement, Bridgewater. A huge thank you all for your ongoing support for the animals.
