Two cases of COVID-19 were identified among staff at the North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia.

The two staff members affected were experiencing "mild symptoms and being cared for at home. They were not in direct care," Lisa Gallant, the home's executive director, shared on social media Jan. 13.

The cases were immediately reported to the province and "we are following public health direction and enhanced precautions we already had in place to prevent further spread," she said.

All residents were to be tested, while staffing and supply levels were said to be sufficient to provide care for the residents.

"During this difficult time, we remain focused on caring for residents and making sure our staff is safe," said Gallant.
