Auctioning compassion for shelter pets

SHAID Tree Animal Shelter's second annual online auction is live right now, running from March 4 through 8, 2024. It really couldn't have come at a better time as we have had an astounding nine cats requiring dental surgeries in February alone.

Those include the Orange Crew (eight cats left homeless when their owner unexpectedly passed away; of the eight, seven of them required dental surgeries before being available for adoption – Belladonna, Julius, Dole, Cara Cara, Minneola, Tropicana, and Valencia), Sparky (a nine-year-old tuxedo lovebug male), and Cassanova (a six-year-old orange and white streetfighter-turned-loverboy).

Once you bid on an item, you will get a notification if/when someone else outbids you.

There truly is something for everyone here to be won!

From restaurant gift certificates from The Gold Bean Café, the Salt Shaker Deli, Pizza Delight, Moxies, and Montanas, to experiences like a day of golf at the Osprey Ridge Golf Course and a tour and tasting at the Salt Box Brewery.

There are lots of great pet items to bid on, from training certificates from Ditto's, Woof Pack K-9 Lifestyle Centre and the Dog Ma, to the Dog House Doggie Daycare, Acana dog food and a large gift box from Kong.

There are over 100 items up for grabs with a retail value of over $7,000! All items have been donated by our amazing community businesses and individuals to help us raise much-needed medical funds for our community's homeless and abandoned pets.
